Testimonial from a M.D.
I want to share my hair transplant experience with you six months
after my successful surgery. Over the last several years I started
to notice that my hairline was slowly receding in the front and
particularly up the sided as well as progressively thinning. I still
had plenty of hair that covered these areas from surrounding sites,
but when the hair would become wind blown or wet the loss was obvious.
Deep down I knew that this would only progress over time, but reality
hit me when several people close to me made independent comments
that I was going bald. I then decided to take care of this problem
now rather than later. In my research of transplant centers it became
obvious that there was many options to choose from including many
in my own area.
I discussed this matter with my sister who is an R.N. That has worked
and lived far over ten years in Long Beach, CA. She came up with
several options from word-of-mouth and we narrowed them down to
two choices: Dr. Chang’s NHT Medical Center and a franchise
clinic in Beverly Hills.
Subsequently, I studied the web sites, read the literature and then
called the offices, which lead me to believe that Dr. Chang’s
practice was the one for me. The staff was courteous and professional
and remarkably Dr. Chang personally came to the phone and spoke
with me. His experience and knowledge was self-evident which finalized
my decision.
On August 7,2004 I flew to California for a weekly vacation as well
as for my surgery August 9th. Upon arrival to the center I found
the building and the office to be classy and professional, and the
staff was larger than I thought. I was very impressed with the one
patient a day concept, and I felt important and pampered. Since
I had not been available for a pre-op consultation previously, my
day started with an extensive pre-op visit with Dr. Chang. Initially,
I had refused sedation, but upon Dr. Chang’s recommendation
I changed my mind. The procedure appeared to have progressed quickly
even though it was four five hours long, and I experienced minimal
to zero discomfort because of the excellent local blocks preformed
by Dr. Chang.
The initial recovery went smoother then I thought allowing me to
enjoy the rest of my vacation, and sure I wore a baseball cap nobody
even noticed even noticed that I had undergone surgery. At about
three months time post operatively I started to notice the grafted
hairs, and almost seven months the hair is one to one and half inches
long. In fact, Dr. Chang’s recently reached me by e-mail that
the hair will now become thicker and courser, which I am looking
forward, too.
See in all, my experience was excellent and I plan to return if
need be, and I highly recommend Dr. Chang’s NHT Medical Center
to anyone needing a hair transplant.
Sincerely,
Dr. Bill P Evans
