Pre-Operative Preparation

Careful preparation ensures optimal surgical conditions and sets the stage for excellent results.

1~2 Weeks Before Surgery

Medical Clearance

Before surgery, we ensure you're in optimal health for the procedure. You'll receive instructions about medications to avoid (aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs, blood thinners, certain supplements) for two weeks prior to surgery. If you have specific medical conditions, we may request clearance from your primary care physician. Certain medications like finasteride or minoxidil should be continued unless otherwise directed.

Lifestyle Preparations

To ensure optimal healing, we recommend avoiding alcohol for one week before surgery, maintaining good scalp hygiene in the days leading up to your procedure, eating a healthy meal the morning of surgery, and wearing comfortable, button-up clothing (avoiding pull-over shirts). If opting for Twilight IV sedation, arrange transportation home after surgery.

Day of Surgery

Pre-Surgery Consent

On the day of surgery before we begin, you will be provided a surgery consent form and given antibiotics in preparation for the procedure.

Pre-Operative Marking and Hairline Design

We'll work with you to design your new hairline and determine exactly where grafts will be placed. This collaborative process ensures results that match your vision and look completely natural for your age and facial features. We'll mark the donor area, ensuring we stay within the permanent zone where hair is genetically programmed to last your lifetime.

Photos will be taken for documentation purposes.

Surgery Preparation

You will change into an operating gown and enter the operating room where you can sit, relax and listen to music while your heart rate, blood pressure and oxygen saturation are carefully monitored.
